My name is Dimitrios Lazaridis.
In early 2025, I moved to Thessaloniki.
One evening, while walking through the city, I realised something.
The places people remember are rarely the famous ones.
They are the bakery before sunrise.
The workshop where the lights are still on after dark.
The family taverna where strangers leave as friends.
These people quietly give every city its character.
That evening, one question stayed with me.
How can we help more people discover the people behind these places?
That question became be_local.
